IM 12 Pro Injection Moulder
The Xplore IM 12 Pro Injection Moulder is a compact, high-precision system designed for efficient
R&D screening, easily fitting on a laboratory bench or inside a fume hood. With a 12 ml shot volume,
it integrates seamlessly with Xplore twin-screw micro-compounders or operates as a standalone unit
for formulations that do not require mixing. The IM 12 Pro enables fast, reliable, and cost-efficient
testing of new or high-value materials using minimal sample volumes. Its advanced temperature-
controlled mould housing now features improved heating performance for quicker temperature
ramp-up and optional active cooling down to sub-ambient levels. This extended thermal range
allows precise control of the mould temperature profile and, consequently, of the sample’s
morphology and crystallization behaviour. A securely locked conical mould prevents flashing and
ensures clean, repeatable results. A compressed-air-driven plunger delivers accurate injection, while
adjustable holding pressure and timing minimize shrinkage. The injection chamber can be refilled
directly from an Xplore micro-compounder or manually with powders or granules, enabling one or
more injection cycles per batch depending on the mould volume. Multi-cavity mould configurations
allow multiple test specimens per cycle. Standard mould options include certified dog-bone tensile
bars, Izod bars, and pharmaceutical tablet shapes, with custom moulds available upon request.
Compact, versatile, and accurate, the Xplore IM 12 Pro combines precision, flexibility, and advanced
thermal control, an ideal tool for rapid material screening and formulation development in research
environments.

Micro Cast Film Lines
Our Micro Cast Film Lines efficiently produce flawless cast films using only a few grams of material.
Fully compatible with our Micro-Compounders, they are particularly advantageous when working
with limited material quantities or high-cost polymers and additives.

3D Filament Line
Xplore's 3D print filament line is designed to produce high-quality Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM)
filaments with excellent dimensional stability from minimal material. This innovative R&D tool
enables the development of experimental filament formulations, providing quick and reliable test
results for further analysis. When connected to the Xplore MC 15 HT or MC 40 compounder, it
transforms into a fully integrated 3D print filament screening system, streamlining filament
composition research and feasibility studies. This filament line add-on offers a cost-effective,
efficient solution for producing reliable and reproducible FDM filaments with minimal waste and
reduced infrastructure costs. Its optional feeder ensures precise molten polymer throughput,
maintaining consistent filament diameter and quality. With its ability to accelerate R&D efforts,
reduce material usage, and enhance formulation testing, this must-have tool is an essential addition

Micro Fiber Line
The Micro Fiber Line enables fast, efficient fibre production using just 5–10 g of material in 10–15
minutes, significantly reducing material waste, development time, and R&D costs.

Tow Impregnation Die
The Tow Impregnation Die uses "spreader bars" to separate the fiber bundles, ensuring every
filament is uniformly wetted.

Pro pelletizer
The Xplore Pro-Pelletizer allows you to use freshly cut pellets for a second compounding step in our
micro-compounders or for further upscaling in a larger extruder.

CB Pro
The Conveyor Belt Pro is designed to guide polymer strands directly from our Micro-Compounder
dies. The belt speed of the conveyor belt pro is adjustable, allowing for precise control tailored to
individual applications.

Data Acquisition Software
Xplore's software provides critical data and insight for control of the mixing process, and accurate
